Nissan has been trying to bring up some of the best sedans in the subcompact market and the all new 2014 Nissan Versa sedan is among the cheapest cars that one can find in the market. Nissan believes that better car features combined with low price rates can work wonders for the vehicle and therefore they have tried to keep the price low for the new 2014 Versa sedan while still offering better and upgraded features to the vehicle. The base model of 2014 Nissan Versa definitely does not offer the luxury feel to the consumers but it still manages to get a decent look which is good for an affordable sedan at such low price tag.
The all new 2014 Nissan Versa sedan gets the standard 1.6 liter four cylinder engine that has the capability to produce 109 horsepower combined with five speed manual transmission. The car offers fuel economy of 27 mpg in the city, 36 mpg on the highway and 30 mpg combined with makes it one of the best fuel efficient vehicles in the US market. The car will also be available with four speed automatic transmission that cuts down the fuel economy marginally. The fuel efficient CVT version offers 31 mpg in the city, 40 mpg on the highway and 35 mpg combined. The car is available in five different trim levels and the CVT engine offers better performance compared to the base model.
The best thing about the car is that it still offers better interiors and the standard 60/40 split folding rear seat and comfortable cabin design that also offer better cargo space. The higher level trims definitely offer much more features and therefore they offer better value for money compared to the base model that also lacks power windows and cruise control features which is one of the biggest flaws. The car is definitely going to offer better competition to other low range sedans like Mitsubishi Mirage and is already available at dealerships for $11,990 for the base model and $16,890 for the highest trim level.
