2017 Volkswagen Amarok
More details about the facelifted 2017 Volkswagen Amarok have been revealed by the automaker. The new pickup truck boasts an updated interior design as well a new 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine option.
The cabin features a newly designed front dash that looks more elegant and sophisticated compared to the outgoing Amarok. The round air conditioning vents have been replaced with rectangular and trapezoidal shaped vents. At the center, a new infotainment system has been installed, which includes Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone integration through App Connect and USB interface.
To ensure maximum comfort for the drivers, the 2017 Volkswagen Amarok would be offering new ergoComfort front seats covered in Nappa leather with contrasting white stitching, optional heating and 14-way electric adjustment.
Replacing the 2.0L TDI is a newly built 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine which will be offering three power outputs. The entry level variant will deliver 161 hp, the mid-range will produce 201 hp, and the top model will churn out 221 hp. Customers will have a choice of buying either Rear wheel-drive, front-wheel drive with an option to switch to four-wheel drive and a 4MOTION four-wheel drive powertrain layout. With the new diesel engine, the 2017 Volkswagen Amarok will compete with Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi L200.
Though the prices have not been announced yet, but we know it will be up for ordering in September.
