The British luxury automaker, Aston Martin has unveiled the image teaser of its DBX concept, which is to be displayed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show this week. This is a luxury GT coupe, developed on cutting-edge style and engineering standards.
The new DBX Concept unmistakably appears to be an Aston Martin with its signature front grille and headlamp design. However, it encompasses many innovative aspects that challenge the conventional impression of a luxury GT. The exterior of this sports coupe is made up of machined billet aluminum with visible milling lines, and is coated in unique Black Pearl Chromium paint. Moreover, a micro-fine layer of chrome is applied on the exterior to deliver a whole different glossy effect.
Unlike the exterior, the interior features soft velvet-like Nubuck leather with sandwich accent layers. The soft interior is accented with hard hi-tech equipment to retain the fierceness of an ultra-fast sports coupe.
The DBX Concept is said to be an all-electric vehicle that has no engine compartment, as it uses electric motors powered by Lithium Sulphur cells. Other known features of this concept are active LED exterior lights, drive-by wire electric steering, bespoke driver and passenger head-up display, carbon ceramic brakes with KERS and rearview cameras.
The DBX Concept is all set to make its first appearance at the 85th Geneva Motor Show along with Aston Martin Vulcan and other supercars like Mercedes-AMG GT3.
